The most popular word document software / app used in a professional capacity is Microsoft Word. Knowledge and use of the software is often required. It converts and crosses over into other word applications and is available for the mobile platform.
Microsoft Word – Versatile and fun!
It’s not just for word processing, you can do an array of creative desktop publishing, share and have conversations with friends or co workers within documents, and can be quite fun.
I can create, edit or read a professional word document, on my mobile phones, and they are NOT Windows/Microsoft phones.
The mobile app has nearly all the same features as the desktop software except optimized and adapted for mobile.
- You can create the document offline and go online to share, print or sync to the cloud.
- You can create a doc, docx. and convert it to a pdf all in the one app.
- Start from scratch, use one of their templates, or create your own template as I prefer to do.
- It is compatible with all email platforms that I have tried, not just outlook and can be synced with your other devices and their cloud platform OneDrive which automatically syncs and backs up your work if you want it to.
- You can share and collaborate with co workers in the Word document .
Below is an excerpt from the Microsoft Office Word App in the Play store. It is free for the basic version with upgrades to unlock other Pro. features.

“Microsoft Word: With Word, your Office moves with you. Whether you are a blogger, writer, journalist, columnist, student or a project manager working on documentation, it’s as handy as you want it to be.
It works with cloud storage apps like Google Drive, Dropbox and iCloud; productivity apps including Todoist, OmniFocus and Things; teamworking apps such as Trello, Slack, Asana and Salesforce; and many more.
Document format and layout stays pristine and looks great – whatever device you use.
You can also share with other cloud platforms- Dropbox or most professional cloud services. Many give a free limited storage version for private individuals, while the Pro version offers more storage and extra features for companies and professional individuals.
Disclaimer: These are not paid endorsements. I should point out that the app for me is quite glitchy, but this is not the fault of the app, instead it is because I constantly have malicious government people accessing it from the back end, without my consent, to steal and sabotage my work, so that I will eventually choose to be with them without pay, oh sorry, as a forced volunteer ( slave). I also have grindr hackers attack me because they oppose large organizations like Microsoft and Google, so they attack hoping that I will blame the organization rather than the malicious hackers. All this is done while I am working in the app in MY device on MY personal private work ( Privacy Act 1988 ) , and anyone with any brains will know that this affects the performance and usability at the users end. This is why apps have beta programs that people choose to join, and websites usually display a notice when they are tinkering in the background or doing maintenance legally in their own website. I can tell when someone is prying or illegally tinkering, not only through logged IP access, but also by the performance and activity I am witnessing in real time. PS… I only use one registered device per activity for security precautions, I don’t need to hide my own access to my own website or private accounts.

The Microsoft Word App is available on other platforms as well.

I shared the Word Document Demo to Dropbox as a Pdf. Anyone with this link can view online or download it. Think of it as your private viewing in the cloud, all you see is the one pdf, no advertisements or other docs. If you were listed as a friend or co-worker you could add comments and have a conversation within that one document.
You can set Dropbox files / articles / images to share as view only or edit. Or not share and keep it totally private.
I have it set to share with anyone with the link, but not edit, so you can’t contribute, but I could have set it to allow you to edit or add comments and have a conversation, WebChat, within the one article in the Dropbox cloud platform.
So, I could have 10 articles in one folder in the cloud, and all of them have a different WebChat going on.
Below inset is an excerpt from the Dropbox App and link for further reading.
The basic App is free with upgrade options to unlock extra features.
Take a look at Dropbox.
” Dropbox is the world’s first smart workspace. We bring your cloud content and traditional files together with the tools you love—so you can be organized, stay focused, and get in sync with your team.Read more at : Dropbox app in Play store.
With all your files organized in one central place, you can safely sync them across all your devices and access them anytime, anywhere.
Features like Dropbox Spaces, starred content, offline access, and a doc scanner make collaborating with others simple.”
You don’t need a Dropbox account to access other peoples Dropbox links, just click the “continue to website button” and then close the blue box by clicking the X .
You can just view the Pdf or click the 3 dots in the top right, or your icon and download the pdf.
All from a phone!
If you download to your phone, it usually goes to your 🗂️ Files folder/manager in the download section, unless you state otherwise. ( You do need a pdf viewer/reader, most smart phones have a pdf viewer pre-installed).
Most official professional documents are shared and downloaded as pdfs eg. legal documents, transcripts, lodgement forms etc.
Click the image to view or download the pdf from the Dropbox cloud file.

Creative Publishing Demos
This next video is a compilation demo of some “desktop – publishing” , or should I say “phone – top” publishing catalogue brochures, I created on my phone in the Word Doc App.
These do take a deceptively long time to create, as there is a lot of fiddling around with layout, combining text and images, sizing and visual impact. Therefore I have only shown the end result, but we’ve just gone through the process anyway in the last demo.
I personally created all the content, images and text plus the extra content within content. As a former fashion designer, I designed the garments (for those that don’t know a qualified fashion designer (BA Degree 3+ years) is not a trained industrial seamstress/tailor or a casual sewer at home.
If you need a comparison, it’s like a qualified architect and engineer (BA Degree 3+years) rolled into one, as opposed to a trained tradesman (tradeswoman) / builder, or a casual handy man (woman) .
**Please note the garments are real and the person/people are real, not CGI, but like a movie and fashion editorials, they are staged, except with a digital twist.
